PKN ORLEN – Meeting Point Stop Café

PKN Orlen, a major European oil refiner and petrol retailer (the largest company in the CEE region), has teamed up with The Kaniewski Haute Design studio led by Janusz Kaniewski, for the design of its first Meeting Point venue. The project, located in the city of Gdańsk, Poland, brings together a gas station, a car service and a coffee shop with a large food offer certified by the Fairtrade mark.

After Gdańsk, PKN Orlen plans to open a flagship Meeting Point in Warsaw, PL, with Kaniewski Haute Design also being commissioned for this project. This is the first architectural project for the studio, which until now has been focusing on product design. Over the years, Janusz Kaniewski has been cooperating with Ferrari, Honda and the Italian- based Pininfarina firm.

From 2003 onwards, when PKN Orlen took over 484 gas stations from BP, Aral and HEM, the company has been operating in the German regions of North Rhine-Westphalia, Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein.
