Milan 2013: Design processes

Another theme of this year’s Milano Design Week was the Design Process. It is not so much about the final product but about the whole journey and storytelling.  It seems like designers are not starting their creative process from the thought of “WHAT should I design” but from the idea of “WHY should I design”. The new “WHY ” makes a real revolution within the traditional old school design thinking. The young generation of designers are more researchers and innovators than “aesthetic drawings makers”. They learn how to build an intelligent system to produce or manufacture the whole range of products. They know how to operate the system and how to use their resources and tools.
