ISPO 2013: Puffy is back

Those of you who remember the ‘80s, also remember the winter fashion we had back then. We all had puffy jackets stuffed with feathers (down) or artificial wadding. On the ski slopes we all looked like the Michelin company mascot dressed in the contrasting colours of scattered highlights markers. It was great!

Now puffy is back again! This time jackets are light as air. Inside these jackets, you will find a new synthetic insulation technology. ThermoBall is made from tiny, furry little balls that re-create the down feel even though the base material is polyester. It’s synthetic fiber mimicking down. It offers the low weight, warmth, and hand compressibility of down and the ability to stay insulated and warm even when wet.

You can squeeze your puffy jacket into a small bag. It takes almost no space and it’s nearly weightless.
