New pharmacy experience

Besides the financial crises, health is one of the most important issues on the European political agendas. We are getting old and we will use more medicines to keep our elderly bodies healthy.

One of the places that we will visit often (besides the Internet) will be the pharmacy. Unfortunately, many pharmacies are still boring places with exactly the same appearance and interior. After winning the award in 2003, the Lairesse Apotheek in Amsterdam (NL) changed the total perception of the retail experience. The new interior design by architects from Concrete was inspired by fresh nature colours and shapes. Since 2003 there has not been such breathtaking innovation in the interior of pharmacies. Until the moment when Stockholm Design Lab designed a new identity and interior for Swedish pharmacy chain – Vårdapoteket.

Amazing work! The total identity is based on the colourful interpretation of the human organs that appear in different designs. One mood and one feeling are consequently applied, from cabinets to business cards.
